Proverbs 31:25

Proverbs 31:25
"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and laughs without fear of the future."

I read this verse somewhere the other day and it really hit me. This is the woman I need to be. Instead of dreading and being afraid of this upcoming deployment I need to have strength knowing the God is going to watch over Austin. I need to hold myself with dignity and be an example of a Godly Army wife. I need to appreciate the day before me and not worry about what is going to happen tomorrow. Just know that I am blessed for the day I have been given.

"This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it!"

How can I expect Austin to look to me for strength if I don't have it myself? I need to depend on the Lord for my strength so that I can be an example of God for him. He is going to see horrible things and I know that he is going to need a reminder that God is over there protecting him. I need to laugh for him and show him that he doesn't need to worry about me over here.

I also need to be strong for Cole. He is going to miss his daddy and he needs to be able to look at me and see that Mommy is ok and she is there to snuggle with when he cries for Daddy. I think this might be the hardest part. How do you explain to such a young mind that Daddy can't tuck him into bed tonight??

This is going to be such a challenge but I know our family is strong enough to go through it!! And at least it's only 9 months instead of a whole year!!

What a Beautiful Life!!

When I take a step back and look at this life I have been blessed with, I see just that, I'm so blessed!! I have a man who was created perfectly just for me, and he loves me so much! I just can't believe I was able to find him so early and that I will be able to spend so many years with him. Every day brings new love for him.

The Lord blessed us with a beautiful little man that just brings us so much joy everyday!! He is such a character!! I can't believe how much he has grown in his little 8 months of life!! He is so much fun, such a pain, and full of so much love. It's so amazing and I love it!

I'm so excited to be here in Hawaii. It's going to be such a different experience than El Paso. I'm excited to start going to a "minichurch" on the 10th. I'm hoping to meet some Army wives and hopefully make some new friends!! We have been hiking, and to the beach and to see some truly remarkable sights. When I look at the beauty here I just don't understand how people can't Believe!! I can't wait to explore even more of this island.

We have found a church that we absolutely love; Hope Chapel West Oahu. We are excited to go every time. They always have a lot going on and it's great to be a part of a church that is so involved in their community. We always enjoy the message. Hubby and I can both understand it well. I'm so glad we found somewhere that we can both get something out of it.

We are going to be visiting family this Christmas season and we can't be more excited! It will be the first time most of them have met our little man and I can't wait for them to. He is so much fun and I can't wait for everyone to experience his joy. I can't wait to see everyone as well. We haven't seen most of the family since last Christmas. It's been so long! I miss everyone so much!! With all of the Christmas spirit going around it makes me even more excited and makes me want to be home even more. Christmas is my favorite holiday!! I am missing the snow and cold weather though. I'm hoping for a White Christmas when we visit the family!!

As I'm writing this post I look out the window and see that it is pouring outside!! I love how much it rains at our house! Such a difference from the dryness of El Paso!!

These next 18 months are going to be bringing many challenges and joys. We will be with family for the holidays, I will turn 21(PAAARRTTTAAAYYY hehe), Little Man will turn 1, it will be Hubby and my 3 anniversary, Hubby will be gone for training, then he will be deploying for 9 months. We have so many things to figure out before that happens. Though it is 8 months away still, I feel as though it's just right around the corner. It's always haunting me and sitting in the back of my mind. I find that I have been looking at him and trying to remember every detail so I can remember his face, and the way I feel in his arms for those lonely nights when Cole is in bed and I can't seem to fall asleep... I already find myself breaking down but I am hiding it because I don't want him to see me weak. I don't want him worrying about whether or not I can do it. I need him to know that I can handle it and I need to be strong for him and everything he is going to experience and go through. I just pray for God to be my our strength as we go through this trial. It will be our first, and I'm sure not last, deployment and I'm really not looking forward to it!! I really need to just focus on the time we have before we have to be a part. I am so proud that he will be defending not only our country but he will also be protecting the right for our family to live freely and happily. And I know it is his passion to be able to defend our country. Lord how I love him!!

Such is the life of an Army/Military wife!! We love our men enough to go through Hell and back as long as we get to be with them in the end!! <3

2013/2014 here we come!!!
